Deja Brown is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and art director based in Denver, Colorado, whose work explores the themes of food, culture, nostalgia, and creative expression.  Working primarily through illustration and graphic design, Deja creates bold, colorful, and playful artwork that invites people to reconnect with what makes them feel something and to take a moment to appreciate the smaller details.

Her work is rooted in the belief that everyone should connect with their inner child. Whether that feeling is in nostalgia, joy, curiosity, humor, or comfort, Deja is interested in creating work that stays with people long after they have seen it.

Food has become one of the most recognizable elements of her visual art language. This allows her to explore larger ideas through something familiar and universally understood. Her work often takes ordinary objects and moments and pushes them into exaggerated, colorful, and imaginative worlds.

Deja's creative practice extends beyond personal work. As a freelance illustrator and designer, she has worked with many brands and organizations, including but not limited to: Nike, Converse, Adobe, Verizon, Smarties, OLIPOP, NBC, Habitat for Humanity, WNBA, Hero Cosmetics, and more. Her professional experience has allowed her to work across entertainment, sports, fashion, food, and beauty while continuing to develop a visual style that feels distinctly her own.

As she continues to grow her practice, Deja's goal is to build a creative career that allows her to work across disciplines while creating opportunities for other artists and creatives to do the same. Her long-term vision extends beyond being an illustrator or designer; she is building toward a career as a creative director and eventually wants to embrace the other sides of creative passions
